• Location: Mayfield Lavender, Epsom
  • Hours: full time – 40 hours per week, no doubles and primarily day time shifts. Some weekends will be required

We are looking for a Senior Chef de Partie/Second Chef that shares our client’s passion and impeccable standards. Reporting to the Chef Manager , your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
  • Overseeing and organising kitchen stock and ingredients
  • Ensuring all food products are properly dated and organised for quality assurance
  • Keeping cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operating hours
  • Assisting with the hiring and training of new employees
  • Managing food and product ordering
  • Minimising waste and managing budgetary concerns
  • Supervising all food preparation and presentation

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic and passionate Senior Chef de Partie/Second Chef looking to assist in the operation of a busy kitchen within a successful, thriving and passionate company. You will have previous experience in a very busy kitchen and will be adept at multitasking and the pressures involved in cooking to order. Someone with experience working in a busy cafe environment, cooking high quality fresh food to order would be ideal. Your cleanliness and command of kitchen hygiene standards will be impeccable. An excellent communicator, your prior experience will highlight this. Reliability, punctuality, positive attitude and confidence are absolutely necessary for this role.
