Staff training courses for managers and teams
Practical training for your managers and staff, built around how your business works.
Your managers make the day-to-day decisions about your people. Our training courses give them the skills and confidence to make those decisions well, so your employees are looked after and problems are dealt with early. We also train the rest of your team, at any level, in the skills that help them do their job and work well together.
All our courses are tailored to deliver the learning outcomes your business needs. We run single workshops, full management training programmes and one-to-one coaching sessions. We prefer to deliver workshops face to face, although we have online options too.
Rated five stars on Google Read our reviewsWhen businesses come to us for training
- Managers promoted without any training in managing people
- A new team of line managers who need the basics
- A change in employment law your managers need to understand
- Appraisals and one-to-ones that are not happening, or not working
- Friction or poor communication within a team
- Staff who need a particular skill to do their job well
Whatever is behind it, we always start by finding out what you want the training to achieve. Then we recommend the right course, or design one, and adapt it to your business.
Staff training courses, tailored or built for you
There are three ways we train your people, so you can use one or all of them.
Tailored courses
Courses we run regularly, for managers and for staff at any level. Even so, we tailor each one to your policies, your processes and the situations your people really face.
Courses designed for you
If you need training on something we do not already run, we design and build a course around your business. Then we deliver it to your team.
Behaviour profiling
DISC profiling helps people understand how they work, as well as how their colleagues work. Each person gets a report, and then we talk the results through as a group or one to one.
Training for managers
Managers who know how to handle people are ready to look after their teams. That is why many of our staff training courses are for managers.
- Leading a team and holding useful one-to-ones
- Managing performance, appraisals and absence
- Handling difficult conversations fairly and confidently
- Understanding the employment law that affects their decisions
Training for everyone else
Not every course is for line managers. We also run interactive workshops to help employees with time management, presentation skills, and inclusion and workplace culture.
From 30 October 2026, employers must take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, including by customers and clients. Training your managers and staff is a practical step towards meeting that duty, as our guide to the October 2026 employment law changes explains.
How our staff training works
Talk it through
First, book a call with Katy, our L&D specialist, to talk through the learning outcomes you want.
A recommendation and a quote
Next, we recommend the right course for your needs, with a no-obligation quote.
Built around your business
Then we develop your course in line with your business's processes, using your own company material.
In person or online
Finally, we deliver it. We recommend training in person for the best engagement, although we have online options too.
Meet your trainer
Our training is designed and delivered by Katy Wade, our Managing Consultant and L&D Manager. Katy is CIPD-qualified, with a postgraduate diploma in HR management and an Advanced Certificate in Employment Law, and over 20 years of HR experience.
Her approach is friendly and interactive, so delegates build skills they can use in the workplace straight away. Meet the team.
How our training is priced
Every course is shaped around your business, so the price depends on the scope, the location and the format. It also covers developing the session, not only the time in the room.
Workshops from £449
One-hour workshops start from £449 plus VAT, which includes developing the session as well as delivering it.
Use your plan hours
If you are already a client on one of our HR support plans, any unused plan hours you have when we invoice for your training come off the training cost.
No-obligation quote
You get a no-obligation quote covering the course content and learning outcomes, and you can suggest changes before going ahead.
All prices are exclusive of VAT. Our training brochure has full details of the courses available.
What our clients say about our training

We’ve worked with Bespoke on a number of projects, most recently a series of training sessions for our team. The feedback was excellent, with instant value that we could put directly into our day to day. Would highly recommend.

Bespoke HR has supported us with our general HR issues, including recruitment, and delivered training to our managers on supporting employee wellbeing and managing absence. We’ve been really pleased with the level of support provided, responsiveness and their general understanding of our sector and the challenges we face. We would recommend them to other businesses looking for HR support.
Common questions
What staff training courses do you run?
We run courses for managers on handling people well, and courses for staff at any level on the skills that help them work well, each tailored to your business. We also design courses for a single organisation when you need something we do not already run. The full list is in our training brochure.
How much does staff training cost?
Our workshops start from £449 plus VAT for a one-hour session, which includes developing the session as well as delivering it. The final price depends on the scope, the location and the format. If you are on one of our HR support plans, any unused plan hours you have when we invoice for your training come off the training cost. See our prices.
Is your training only for managers?
No. Many of our courses are for managers, because managers who know how to handle people look after their teams better. Other courses are for staff at any level, and behaviour profiling works for everyone from new starters to directors.
Can you design a course just for our business?
Yes. If you need training on something we do not already run, we design and build a course around your business, your policies and your people. Then we deliver it to your team, in person or online.
Do you run training at our workplace or online?
Both, although we recommend in person wherever we can. Training in the room gets people talking and practising together, which gives the best results. Online works well when your staff work remotely or across different sites.
Can we use our HR support plan hours for training?
Yes. If you are on one of our HR support plans, any unused plan hours you have when we invoice for your training come off the training cost. Otherwise, training is a stand-alone service, and you do not need a plan to book it.
What is DISC behaviour profiling?
DISC is an assessment that describes how a person tends to behave at work, based on four factors: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance. Each person answers a set of questions online and receives their own report. We then talk the results through as a group or one to one, so people understand themselves and each other better.
Do employers have to train staff on sexual harassment?
From 30 October 2026, employers must take all reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment, and that includes harassment by customers, clients and contractors. The law does not name training as a requirement, but training managers and staff is a step employers commonly take, and a record of it helps show what you did. Our article on the October 2026 employment law changes explains the new duty.
